Plans and limits
How limits work
Every plan comes with monthly token allocations, one per model. A token is a small piece of text, about three quarters of a word; your messages and the AI's replies both count toward it.
Exact allocations and a side-by-side plan comparison live on the pricing page.
Check your usage
Your profile page shows how many tokens you have used this month for each model, and the date your limits reset. No surprises: if you are getting close to a limit, you will see it there first.
When you hit a limit
If sending pauses, check your profile first to see which limit you reached. A used-up monthly allocation unblocks when it resets at the start of your next billing period, or right away if you upgrade. No hidden charges, ever: we never bill for extra usage, sending simply pauses.
Separate from monthly allocations, every plan has brief per-minute limits that keep the service stable for everyone. If messages stop sending during a fast back and forth, waiting a moment clears it.

Change your plan
Upgrade or downgrade anytime, starting from your profile page. On the free plan you will see an upgrade button there; on a paid plan, Manage subscription opens the billing portal, where you can switch plans, update payment details, or cancel.
Billing and refund questions go to support@treadlightly.ai. The refund policy is on the pricing page, and other ways to reach us are on the contact page.
