Why Advanced exists
Free, Starter, and Builder use only green models, which run on certified renewable electricity. Advanced adds Anthropic Claude (Haiku and Sonnet) for work that needs stronger reasoning or long-context analysis. Anthropic has not disclosed how Claude's electricity is sourced, so Advanced is the one plan with that compromise.

How does the Free plan work?
The Free plan includes Green Tiny and Green Small, with 500K tokens per month on each. No credit card required.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from your profile page.
What happens if I exceed my token limit?
Each model has its own monthly limit. When you reach one, switch to another model on your plan or upgrade. Limits reset on the first of each month. No hidden charges.
Which model should I use?
- Green Small: Fast, good for everyday tasks. The default.
- Green Tiny: Green Small's engine with shorter replies. On every plan.
- Green Large: Stronger reasoning. Certified renewable electricity, per GreenPT.
- Haiku: Fast Claude model. Advanced only.
- Sonnet: Claude's strongest reasoning for hard problems. Advanced only.
What are the exact token limits?
Each model has its own monthly allocation:

Unlimited means no monthly cap. Green Tiny accepts up to about 32,000 tokens per message and Haiku up to about 90,000, each including the conversation so far; Sonnet has no such cap. See what's new.
Do you offer refunds?
If you're not satisfied, contact us at support@treadlightly.ai. We handle refund requests case by case. For subscription renewals, refund requests must be made within 48 hours of the charge.
Is my data secure?
We never sell your data, never share it for marketing, and never use your conversations to train AI models. Your conversations are yours. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How does energy reporting work?
Each conversation shows its running energy total under the messages and in the conversation menu.
- Measured: GreenPT reports energy for every Green Large call.
- Estimated: Green Tiny, Green Small, Haiku, and Sonnet, marked with a tilde (~).
- Not counted: Turning your speech into text.
